Esteemed Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Dies at Age 60.
Stateside actor Pat Finn, who appeared in popular television series such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday having undergone cancer treatment beginning in 2022, according to reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".
An Extensive TV Career
Finn's first television role was on a show starring George Wendt in 1995, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a regular part on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a party host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on a variety of well-known programs, like:

- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for playing the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).
A Life in Improv
Beyond his on-screen roles, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was part of a comedy group of six named Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and it would be difficult to find a person who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, making those around him better and funnier. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote on social media.
Pat Finn is survived by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his parents and siblings.
