Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who jumped a barrier and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared footage reveals the Australian man shoving aside photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was due to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram feed includes videos of him interrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Numerous fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further message on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals demanded social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, earning a pair for best costume and production design.
