Soccer Analyst Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
Arsenal's 10-game winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international break, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.
For week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Football and Family Life
Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or son chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
AI's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' only away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?
I will go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four matches.
My son told me to get Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1
The computer's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
Fulham have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their display in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.
However I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's home form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
Olly's choice: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0

It is a hard one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
